Inclus and Google AI Collaboration: Advancing risk management with AI

Inclus is working closely with Google AI to experiment with its Gemini and Vertex models in a risk management context. This effort brings valuable opportunities for Inclus to experiment with the latest AI technologies and assess their potential for advancing our own solutions.

Focus of the Experimentation

The primary objective of this connection is to keep Inclus at the forefront of AI development by testing and experimenting the latest language models.

The project initially focused on document processing, including handling over 300 PDF documents and several thousand pages of text files. While tools like ChatGPT-4 can now manage these tasks, Google’s AI models provided an early opportunity this year to dive into advanced document processing, allowing Inclus to evaluate and refine new AI practices alongside clients.

Our work with Google AI focuses on experimenting with different data sets and understanding how they can help us enhance risk management strategies.

Using publicly available sources such as industry reports and risk analysis documents offers companies an accessible starting point. This approach makes it easier for organizations, especially those new to AI, to begin exploring its potential in risk management without needing to commit to more complex internal data integrations.

This project aims not just to test AI models but also to deepen Inclus' product development. By assessing how various AI functionalities can add value to customers, Inclus can identify innovative features to enhance its software.

Benefits for Inclus’ customers

Our ongoing experimentation with Google’s models allows us to offer clients a low-barrier entry point to test AI’s applications for risk management. With significant expertise developed from working on various case studies, Inclus is well-equipped to guide and support its clients. Our agile processes enable customers to see concrete results within 3–4-week sprints, offering them valuable insights into how AI can benefit their business.

“The agile nature of Inclus means customers can quickly see concrete results through 3–4-week sprints, gaining valuable insights for their business.”

Clients also have the opportunity to experience AI's capabilities through a collaborative, inclusive process, where AI-generated insights are enhanced with organizational feedback – all managed digitally via Inclus software. This blend of AI and human input produces a higher quality of data, facilitating a comprehensive approach to development.

Advancing Risk Management Capabilities

Inclus’ work with Google AI aims to improve risk management for customers by exploring data-driven AI solutions that can enhance how risks are identified and managed. According to ISO standards, the best available information should always be used in risk management, and AI’s ability to process vast data sets helps organizations meet this criterion efficiently. By summarizing both external data and insights gathered from collaborative analysis with key personnel, AI can transform data into actionable reports, adding significant productivity to the process.

“According to ISO standards, the best available information should always be used in risk management, and AI’s ability to summarize vast amounts of data helps organizations meet this criterion effectively.”

Inclus is committed to inclusivity in decision-making, using AI to support both collective and individualized processes. By engaging clients in data-rich projects, Inclus demonstrates how AI can elevate risk management strategies and drive informed decision-making.

Future Outlook

Our exploration of Google AI tools has already yielded impressive results in several impactful projects. In one, we helped a social welfare region prepare for potential oil spills in the Baltic Sea by modeling risks based on research literature. In another, we analyzed changes in the security landscape for a large Finnish retail company by leveraging crime statistics from Finnish police and other resources to gain insights into evolving security risks.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue experimenting with AI to further enhance Inclus software’s capabilities, especially in predictive risk management. Our goal is to empower customers with tools that not only identify risks early but also provide proactive solutions, enabling more effective and informed decision-making.
