Inclus Academy: 10 typical challenges in facilitating digital risk management processes
In this Inclus Academy session, our team hosted a practical walkthrough on facilitating digital risk management workshops.
We started by looking at a common issue: discussions often stay too high-level because participants provide too little information. We demonstrated how adding structured questions, required fields, and AI suggestions helps collect clearer risk data and supports better conversations.
Next, we covered ownership. Many workshops identify risks but fail to assign responsibility. We showed ways to assign risk and task owners, gather opinions during assessments, and use deadlines and reminders so mitigation actions actually happen.
In the second part, we moved into workshop facilitation. Using reporting views, heatmaps, and filtering, we focused the discussion on top risks, large disagreements between participants, and risks that are increasing over time. We also reviewed comments, AI summaries, and uncovered new risks that hadn’t yet been formally recorded.
Finally, we emphasized closing the loop: making sure every key risk has a task, an owner, and follow-up cadence — turning workshop outcomes into continuous risk management rather than a one-time exercise.
