Inclus webinar: Geopolitical tensions — What risk professionals on both sides of the Atlantic need to know

In this Inclus webinar, we explored how organizations can identify, assess, and manage geopolitical risks in a structured and practical way, using NVIDIA as a public case example. We were joined by Patrick Fruchet, a geopolitical risk advisor based in New York, who brought a wealth of experience advising US management teams on geopolitical risk.

We started by discussing the core challenge that many organizations face: geopolitical risks are fast-moving, complex, and difficult to translate into concrete enterprise-level decisions. We looked at how companies can build better frameworks for understanding what is materially important to them and how to act on that information with confidence.

We then walked through how Inclus can be used to build a geopolitical risk register from publicly available sources, such as SEC filings, news reports, and think tank analyses, and how AI can help gather evidence, create key risk indicators, and generate baseline risk assessments.

From there, we demonstrated how scenario planning can be integrated into the risk management process. We showed how different scenarios, from peaceful stalemate to more severe geopolitical escalation, can be reflected against an existing risk profile to understand how individual risks might amplify or diminish depending on how events unfold. Patrick shared his perspective on the value of scenario-based planning and why practicing these exercises as a management team is essential preparation for real-world uncertainty.

We closed by emphasizing that while AI is a powerful starting point, human judgment remains essential. The real value comes from combining AI-generated insights with collaborative assessment across management teams to build shared understanding and support better decision-making.
